hello all moms-to-be out there!

I am looking for a newborn to photograph with my new goodies – aka custom designed blankets, hats and diaper covers – especially made for me/my photography business! The designer and I need to know the exact sizes so I can order a few more one-of-a-kind pieces for me! I am so excited! 100% Uruguayan wool, really cool colors and oh so soft… just begging for a newborn!

Since my next scheduled newborn client is only in mid-October, I am looking for a brand new baby (5 days to approximately 2 – 3 weeks old) ASAP for a free session with me! yes, you read it right – you get a free *weekday* Newborn Photo Session with Belle Meinerz Photography! (session must be held on or before Oct 10th, with signed model release).

I know I’ve been neglecting my poor blog… I’ve been swamped with work and barely have the time to come here. I do apologize and to make up for this I’ll post a lot of pictures today… and if I don’t post for more than 5 days in a row than session fees will be 25% off until I post again. How does that sound as an encouragement? LOL

ok, on to today’s post…

I couldn’t find a more appropriate title for this sneak peak. What a great family – they are really close to each other, one can easily feel their love… and they are oh so cute together! I had tons of fun photographing them! This is from a few weeks ago – yes, I know, I’m sooo behind on posting – and we lucked out with the most amazing sunset…

and yes, son and dad were like that all the time! I got lots of candid shots like this… makes my heart so happy!

and they were up to anything! laying down, jumping, running… so much fun!!

Dad came all the way from California and I’m so glad they did their session here in Canada

Love this one here… amazingly beautiful girl… so easy to work with, just a natural!

Mattias is 3 months… already! I can’t believe how much he’s changed since I last photographed him – it’s crazy how time really flies, isn’t it?

and he is even cutter… if that is possible! He has the best expressions, I swear! I think he looks just like daddy (mom disagrees, oh well) so I asked daddy to lay down just beside him so I could point out the resemblance and look what Mattias thought of it:

I always try to reserve at least one whole weekend a month for some family fun, but this client called me on Thursday night saying her family would be in town from California and forecast was fabulous so I just couldn’t say no and I’m so glad we did our session on Saturday afternoon – it was a fantastic day and she picked a *great* location. I’ll have a few images up here soon to share with you all!
So when we were finalizing our session hubby brought the kids to the park where I was working (i.e. having fun!) and we spent a few hours there – what could be more perfect? I can honestly say it was just a perfect day – a great day “at work” and a great day with family – how lucky am I?

Anyway this post is actually about our outing yesterday – some friends invited us to spend the day @ PlayLand at PNE. And what a day! We only took our oldie trusty tiny Point and Shoot with us to get a few snapshots and try and capture the fun and the joy and the smiles on our kids faces in an effort to to freeze a moment in time forever! The images make me so happy I thought I would share a few here:

I have been photographing this beautiful family since momma was pregnant with her third son. (I know, how lucky am I?)
So now when the time came for baby’s 3 months portraits the family was up in their condo in Whistler, spending some summer days with family from Europe. Well, I thought, what could be better than baby pictures with grandparents in Whistler??
