Belle Meinerz Photography

I don’t usually do weddings, but that was a special one. Bride’s mother was my kids’ teacher. She phoned me one morning asking if I’d do her daughter’s wedding. Her daughter really wanted me to document her special day. How could I have possibly said “no”? She is such an amazing teacher, and a fantastic person all around (always happy and smiling and just… well, happy)… my kids love her… so do we… So we set up a meeting, the three of us (bride, momma and me). I instantly fell in love with the bride. She’s sweet, humble, very down to earth and as lovely as her momma. And simply gorgeous. Right there and then I knew it would be great to work with them. I wasn’t wrong. K and A were a delight to work with.They made everything so easy for me, and it doesn’t hurt that both are *very* good looking. Beautiful couple, inside and out.

We (they!) lucked out with a gorgeous, gorgeous day, a light breeze and the perfect light.

Ladies and gentlemen,

please join me in welcoming another Belle Meinerz Photography sweet baby, an a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e baby boy! Squeefully adorable!

At day 7, this little guy was a perfect little model,  the ultimate in cuteness!

It was such a beautiful day (don’t you just love summer?) and parents live in such a beautiful place, I was glad we could take him outside for a few shots!

He slept like a pro and was so good to me!

Don’t I meet the prettiest babies in town? And the happiest ones too!!

Can’t get enough of him? me neither! I tried to take him home but mom wouldn’t let me… good thing I’ll be documenting his first year, so I’ll get to see him again soon!

oh and I *love* his name… love it! he is sure destined to great things!!

Thank you mom and dad for having me over and allowing me to capture such precious moments of your son’s first days… it’s truly an honour.

I’ve been photographing her forever… when she was still in mommy’s tummy, as a newborn, her first year and then every 6 months since then. All her milestones… including baptism, birthday parties… She became quite “the face” of Belle Meinerz Photography. I am so grateful to her parents who trusted me with their memories. It’s such an honour.

She’s a few weeks shy of 3 years old, and to celebrate the fact that she’s a big girl now (!)  we headed down to Stanly Park to do her portraits. I can honestly say: she becomes cutter by the day. Check for yourself.

I think she looks just like Snow White in the next one…

Below she was showing off to passers-by some mad yoga and jumping skilzzzz, she has the talent to entertain, ya know? all of a sudden there was a little crowd gathered right there to watch her… to her delight!

I’m so sad I won’t be able to photograph your *very* special Birthday party this year, as I’ll be photographing a wedding, but me and my camera will see you again in October for our fall/Christmas portraits session!! ‘Cause look who’s here!

I am again so behind on blogging but I thought I’d post a few from this recent newborn session… I was so sad that Brazil went home earlier than I expected — I definitely needed a pick-me-up and what better  than a brand new baby to lift up my mood?

oh yes she’s smiling on both photos above!

Just a few for mom and dad… this little darling sure has them wrapped around her little finger! I’ll share (tons more) later, so stay tuned!

And just look what great of a job mom did with her nursery? Simply gorgeous… soft, delicate, romantic, feminine and yes — pink!!

Looks and feels like straight from a decor magazine, doncha agree with me?

Hana was an angel, posing so good for me. Perfect little girly girl.

OK folks, now back to proofing and print fulfillment — lots of great sessions lately and I can’t wait to share them all with you! Then, a couple more summer sessions and a much needed teeny tiny break (hey, kiddos are off school, gotta join them in the fun!) and I’ll come back fully recharged for a very busy fall season ahead.

I have only a couple 2010 spots left so hurry if you want a fall session with Belle Meinerz Photography… I am actually already booking into 2011! Crazy!

Oh and just in case you were wondering… yes, we’ll be in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup!! Hopes are high for BRASIL HEXA!!!!!!!!

What else can I say? This darling baby girl is such a doll. I photographed her as a newborn and I can honestly say she gets cuter by the day. Effortlessly. And gracefully.
